It’s All About Enrolment!!

It’s pretty quiet here at GKC just now, but that will all change in two or three weeks when we start ENROLMENT for session 2015 / 16. We are preparing for you all just now and we thought we would just give you the heads up on what to expect.

When Will Enrolment Start and Where Will It Be?

Full and Part Time enrolment will start on Tuesday the 11th of August and will run until Friday the 21st of August. Additional sessions will also be arranged for specific day-release, block and evening courses.

Enrolment sessions will be held at all of the campuses.

Enrolment sessions will be held at Springburn on all days; sessions at the other four campuses will be timetabled in for different days throughout the two weeks.

Don’t worry if you are asked to attend enrolment at a different campus to what you think. Where the same course is being delivered in more than one location, and applicants have yet to be allocated to a particular campus, these applicants will be invited into one campus. You will be informed that the enrolment event for their course may not be held in the same campus as your timetabled classes.

How Will I Know Where To Go?

Enrolment packs containing details of enrolment dates, times and locations are scheduled to be sent out from Tuesday the 28th of July.

We will also post a schedule of the enrolment days and times out to Facebook, Twitter and our Website so make sure you keep an eye on these.

If you have any questions or concerns about the details you are sent then please email enrolment@glasgowkelvin.ac.uk

What Is The Enrolment Process?

You will be advised that enrolment sessions will last around 2 hours.

Please be aware that due to the high enrolment numbers and time constraints, there will be no campus tours during the enrolment sessions.

I’m Enrolling at Springburn:

To avoid congestion at the reception area, on arrival you will be directed to the student canteen area.   Each class/course group will then be escorted to the relevant timetabled room for form filling/checking.

You will then complete and sign a blank enrolment form. This form must also be countersigned by a member of faculty staff. Finance staff will also check that you have the appropriate funding for your course fees in place before you leave the room.

When the enrolment forms have been completed and signed, the group will then be directed to the enrolment room where MIS staff will then complete the enrolment process. Once you are officially enrolled you can then proceed to the ID card station where your student card will be produced and given to you before you leave the building.
